1. Shipping methods
Mascot costumes are large and voluminous. We recommend sea freight or dedicated logistics lines (China-to-Europe, China-to-US) for most orders. Air courier (DHL, FedEx, UPS) is possible but significantly more expensive due to dimensional weight.
Inflatable costumes can be deflated and folded flat, dramatically reducing shipping volume and cost. Foam-sculpted and EVA costumes ship in their full shape with protective packaging.
We quote shipping as a separate line item on every quote — you can choose to use our forwarder or arrange your own pickup ex-works (EXW) from our Jiangxi workshop.
2. Lead times after production
Door-to-door transit from our workshop (Shangyou, Jiangxi, China): sea freight to US West Coast — 18 to 25 days; to US East Coast — 28 to 35 days; to EU main ports — 30 to 40 days. Dedicated line (China-Europe) — 15 to 22 days. Air courier (DHL/FedEx/UPS) — 5 to 10 business days.
Production itself takes 10–15 working days for standard designs. Total time from order to delivery is typically 4–8 weeks for sea freight, 3–4 weeks for dedicated line, and 2–3 weeks for air.
3. Customs, duties & taxes
Quotes are typically priced EXW or FOB unless you request DDP (delivery duty paid). For EXW/FOB shipments you are responsible for import duties, VAT/GST, and customs clearance fees in the destination country.
We provide all standard documentation: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, and any certificates required for the destination market.
4. Damage in transit
All shipments are packed with protective materials (foam padding, reinforced cartons, or wooden crates for foam-sculpted heads). If your shipment arrives with visible external damage, photograph it before opening and contact us within 7 calendar days.
For damage discovered after opening (broken foam pieces, torn fabric, bent accessories), photograph and email us within 14 days of delivery. We will assess and provide repair guidance or replacement parts. Each costume ships with a small repair kit for minor fixes.
Inflatable units: if the internal fan or battery pack is damaged in transit, we ship replacement parts — the fan unit is designed to be user-replaceable.
5. Returns
Custom-made mascot costumes are non-returnable for buyer's-remorse reasons — each one is built specifically for your character and cannot be resold. Returns or remakes are accepted only for: structural defects we missed at quality inspection, significant deviation from the approved design, missing components, or wrong product entirely.
In those cases we repair, remake, or replace at our cost within the next available production slot, typically within 15 working days of confirmation.
6. Warranty & lifespan
Expected lifespan with normal use and proper storage: foam-sculpted mascots — 1 to 3 years; EVA foam mascots — 6 months to 1 year; inflatable mascots — 1 to 2 years. Higher usage frequency shortens lifespan.
Store your mascot in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place after each use. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight and damp environments. Proper care extends lifespan significantly.
Manufacturing defects are covered for 12 months from delivery date. Normal performance wear, mishandling, or improper storage are not covered.
