Custom Mascot Costume FAQ β€” Everything Clients Ask Before Ordering

One place for every question we get about custom mascot costumes β€” ordering, accuracy, wearing comfort, shipping and each construction method. If your question isn't here, send it to us and we'll answer within 12 hours.

General Questions

Can we order just the mascot head?

Yes. We regularly make mascot heads on their own β€” as replacements or to pair with your own costume β€” with the same accuracy as a full costume.

How well can the performer see from inside?

Very well. We use a hidden vision-port design that is invisible from outside, and open the ports as wide as the design allows to maximize the performer's field of view. Learn more about vision engineering

Is it hot to wear inside the costume?

In summer, a little warm. We can install 1–3 small cooling fans in the head and provide cooling vests with ice pockets, so performers stay comfortable even at hot outdoor events. Learn more about cooling engineering

Can we order just one costume?

Yes. MOQ is 1 piece on every construction β€” EVA foam, inflatable and foam sculpted. Most clients start with a single costume.

Is international shipping expensive?

Foam-sculpted and EVA costumes are bulky, so we don't recommend air freight unless it's urgent. Sea shipping is the most economical, and dedicated shipping lines offer a good middle ground. Learn more about shipping options

Will the costume get damaged in transit?

We use protective packing built for international shipping, and most costumes include a repair kit. If a minor issue appears, most clients can fix it themselves in minutes β€” we'll guide you through it.

How do we put on and wear the costume?

After you receive the costume, ask us for a step-by-step wearing demo video β€” your performer will be able to dress up quickly and safely. Learn more about wearing engineering

How long does a custom mascot costume take to produce?

Foam-sculpted mascots take 12–15 days; EVA and inflatable take 10–15 days. Add shipping time on top (typically 1–4 weeks depending on the shipping method and destination). Learn more about our production process

Can you make a mascot from an AI-generated image?

Yes. Foam sculpting reproduces most AI-generated characters with 95%+ accuracy β€” fine details, colors and proportions included. Learn more about foam sculpting

What do we need to send to get started?

Just your character artwork β€” a logo, sketch, 2D design or reference images in any format. We'll analyze it and recommend the best construction for your budget.

How long does a mascot costume last?

It depends on the construction and how often you use it. Foam-sculpted mascots last 1–3 years, EVA mascots about 6 months–1 year, and inflatable mascots 1–2 years β€” all with normal use. Higher frequency shortens the lifespan; proper storage and timely small repairs extend it.

How should a mascot costume be stored?

After each use, store it in a well-ventilated, cool, dry place. Avoid damp environments and direct sunlight β€” moisture causes mildew and sun fades the colors and weakens the fabric.

Foam-Sculpted Mascots

Will it be damaged in shipping?

We use protective international packing and include a repair kit β€” most minor issues are self-fixable.

Can we order just the head?

Yes, heads-only orders are welcome.

How does the performer put on the head?

There's an opening at the bottom with adjustable straps for a secure fit.

EVA Foam Mascots

Which body should I pick?

Clothing-style for flexibility and comfort; inner-film for rounder, fuller shapes.

Is it hot to wear?

We fit 1–3 cooling fans in the head and can add ice-pocket cooling vests.

Can we order just the head?

Yes.

Inflatable Mascots

How long does the battery last?

3–6 hours per charge; longer if one performer rests between sets.

What if it punctures?

We include a repair kit; small punctures are quick to patch.

Is the fan noisy?

Low-noise fans, quiet enough for crowds and photos.

How do I choose between long-pile and oxford cloth?

Long pile (4–6 cm faux fur) gives a soft, fur-like character with natural depth β€” best for animal characters and IP mascots. Oxford cloth prints graphics sharply and is easy to clean β€” best for promotional and commercial events. Both share the same TPU inflatable body and 3–6 hour fan runtime.
